The Rosary

Pope John Paul II, in his apostolic letter Rosarium Viginin Mariae, tells us that the Rosary "marks the rhythm of human life." Through several years of praying the Rosary I have come to discover the truth of that beautiful statement. This sacred prayer and its holy beads have been my comfort during periods of depression, listlessness, loss of purpose and sadness. They have been my source of joy and contentment in a world full of war and heartbreak. They have also been a mighty weapon for spiritual warfare against the devil and his demons.

The Rosary, though clearly Marian in character, has Jesus Christ as the focal point of  religious thought and doctrine. Its approach emphasizes Christ's role in relation to God the Father and the Holy Spirit, making Him the central theme of all parts of every mystery presented in its entirety.
